Guidelines for Submitting Articles to GEWEX News

The GEWEX Newsletter is edited and printed by the International GEWEX Project Office (IGPO) and is a means of disseminating scientific research results and other information related to GEWEX activites.  It is published quarterly (February, May, August and November). 

Please limit the size of contributions to 1-2 pages (800-1600 words) and try to restrict the number of color figures to 1-2 per article. 

Bitmap formats such as TIFF and JPEG image files are only acceptable if they have a resolution of 300 dpi (in general, equivalent to about 1- 2 MB in file size).  Postscript and EPS formats are acceptable for figures.  Please do not send figures embedded in Microsoft Word files. 

Please e-mail text (in Microsoft Word or "text-only" format), and the accompanying figures to the Editor at gewex@gewex.org. 

Submitted articles are usually not peer reviewed, but will be checked for scientific soundness. IGPO reserves the right to edit articles for spelling, grammar, and punctuation, and may also refine and tighten wording and article structure. The article may also be resized to fit within the space allotted for an issue. Authors are given a chance to review changes made to their articles before they are published in the newsletter.
